Today, Dale Jr., along with wife Amy, were in Columbus, Ohio for the unveiling of the Dale Jr. and Amy Earnhardt Activity Room at Nationwide Children’s Hospital.

COLUMBUS, Ohio (April 27, 2017) – Nationwide Children’s Hospital is a huge part of Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s life, along with wife Amy, and today, the couple were in Columbus, Ohio for the unveiling of the Dale Jr. and Amy Earnhardt Activity Room at Nationwide Children’s Hospital.

In January, Earnhardt Jr. attended the Barrett-Jackson Auctions in Scottsdale, Ariz. for the first time, selling some cars to benefit Nationwide Children’s Hospital. During his visit, Earnhardt Jr. got a big surprise and honor bestowed upon him and wife Amy, courtesy of Nationwide. The cars, incidentally, earned $400,000 for Nationwide Children’s Hospital.

Long-time partner Nationwide Insurance, which is the namesake sponsor of the hospital for chronically ill children in Columbus, Ohio, renamed its Activity Room at the hospital after the Earnhardts, and today’s dedication was the end result.

The room, located on the Rehabilitation Floor, is one that Earnhardt Jr. has visited the past two years, meeting some of the Nationwide Patient Champions as well. His sister, Kelley Earnhardt Miller, and team owner Rick Hendrick accompanied Dale Jr. and Amy for the ceremony.
