Rain cancelled all on-track activity Friday at Pocono Raceway. As a result, Dale Earnhardt Jr. will start sixth based on his current position in NASCAR Sprint Cup Series points. Earnhardt Jr.’s Hendrick Motorsports teammate Jimmie Johnson will start from the pole.

Teams will attempt to make practice laps during a pair of sessions Saturday morning at 10 a.m. ET and 11:40 a.m. ET. Earnhardt Jr. and his No. 88 National Guard team have unloaded a brand new chassis hoping to claim Junior’s first victory at the 2.5-mile track.

Earnhardt Jr. looks to build on strong runs at Pocono last season where he led in both events and earned an eighth place finish in June.

Coverage of Sunday’s 400-mile race begins at 1 p.m. ET on TNT.
