MOORESVILLE, N.C. (July 20, 2016) – Dale Earnhardt Jr. did not compete in Sunday’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series event at New Hampshire Motor Speedway because of concussion-like symptoms.

That did not mean he didn’t play a role in the team’s performance on the 1.058-mile oval.

“I was plugged in to what they were doing, and it was fun to feel like I was part of it,” Earnhardt Jr. said on his just-released The Dale Jr. Download podcast on Dirty Mo Radio. “I’m proud of Alex Bowman and the team this weekend, they did a great job.”
